This sundress, based on a design by Herbert Sondheim, has a scoop neck in the front and an open back which is decorated by a double bow accent. The design allows a bra to be worn with the dress. The flared skirt has tucks in the front and more fullness in the back with an inverted back pleat. The dress is underlined and has piping at the waistline. Pattern pieces for an optional pocket on the right side are included.
PDF versions include a copy shop print version as well as a letter/A4 version that you can print out at home. A picture of the inspiration pattern has been provided. The pattern has been scanned and graded from the original inspiration pattern. As vintage sizing has been used, I recommend making a muslin for fitting purposes.
