Size 22-24-26 - 1951 Designer Dress

This dress from 1951 is based on a design by Oleg Cassini for Gene Tierney in the movie "The Mating Season". This fitted dress has a button closure at the shoulders and the front panel buttons to form front pleats on the skirt. The pattern includes a self-fabric belt. The dress can be made with a low scooped back or high back. Separate pattern pieces have been included for each option

PDF versions include a copy shop print version as well as a letter/A4 version that you can print out at home. A picture of the inspiration pattern has been provided. The pattern has been scanned and graded from the original inspiration pattern. As vintage sizing has been used, I recommend making a muslin for fitting purposes.
